To date, Madison's community forest has gained 43 trees; total investment through the program represents more than $14,200; and, the Ricketts Trust now totals $26,825. At the five-year mark, Madison's tree canopy will be embellished by more than 100 new trees and community investment will total around 30,000, exceeding the original endowment! Most importantly, the Ricketts Trust will have increased through municipal stewardship and community participation and will still be viable for future planting initiatives.
